ALERT - Help Keep White River Trails Open
posted Jan 6, 2009Tags: Rights to Ride All Article Tags
Hi all
In just two minutes you can help stop the proposed closure of hundreds of miles of existing roads and trails in the Colorado White River National Forest. These roads and trails are vital for recreation as well as access for management to promote forest health.
These trails lead to vistas, scenic byways, secluded lakes, creeks and primitive camping. None of these trails have been proven to affect water quality, habitats, or plants. However unless more people speak up in favor of preserving these great trails it is likely they will be lost forever. These proposed closures will probably have a negative impact on mountain bike, horse and hiking access too!
I know you hate to see trails closed just as much as I do, so please take TWO MINUTES to help by submitting a letter using pre-drafted comments or your own comments to the White River National Forest.
Please ACT NOW comments are due before 1/6/2009. Click below & create your letter.
