One of the most prestigious and competitive series in the world, the series draws riders from all over the world to compete all across the United States. 2008 is the 37th year of the series, making it one of the longest running and most successful.

2009 brings new attention to the series through live broadcasts on NBC and Speed Channel, where they will share the broadcasting duties at 6 of the 12 races this season. In addition to the US broadcast coverage, several international broadcasters will be highlighting the series as well, with viewers all over Europe, Russia, Asia and Australia able to tune in to regular broadcasts of this entertaining series. Finally, the series will also be shown on the Armed Forces Network, allowing all of our hard working military the chance to relax for a while with some great motocross racing. This depth of coverage for a racing series has never been achieved before, proving the excitement and value of professional motocross in America.

Outdoor Motocross is an exciting sport, highlighting the speed and skill of the best motocross riders in the world. Instead of the stop and go, tight track confines of Supercross in a stadium, the AMA Motocross series is run at motocross tracks all across the United States. Many tracks feature a course that can be several miles long, with huge jumps, whoop sections, hill climbs and descents, and high speed straights and corners. The tracks are set in beautiful countryside, and there are many places for fans to catch all the action. There are two classes each with two races on the same day that are run for 30 minutes plus two laps, which not only challenges the skill of the riders, but their endurance as well.
