IMPORTANT – FULLY READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING.

THIS KIT IS INTENDED FOR INSTALLATION BY A TRAINED TECHNICIAN

WHO IS FULLY FAMILIAR WITH THE ATV IN A PROPERLY EQUIPPED SHOP.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR USE WITH TWIST THROTTLE KITS. THESE KITS ARE DESIGNED TO REPLACE THE ORIGINAL THUMB THROTTLE WITH A TWIST THROTTLE. THESE INSTRUCTIONS SHOW HOW TO RELOCATE THE 4WD SELECTOR SWITCH(S) FROM THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT THUMB THROTTLE. REFER TO THE SEPARATE THROTTLE AND THROTTLE KIT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALLING THE TWIST THROTTLE AND CABLE.

  1. Unscrew the upper 4X4 switch and thumb throttle housing from the lower thumb throttle assembly and leave the 4X4 switch wiring connected. Remove the remaining lower thumb throttle half from the handlebar. Retain the three original screws for reuse.

  1. Assemble the two plates together using the two provided 5mm oval head screws, place one of the 6mm bolts provided through the hole closest to the upper face plate (fig.1).

  1. Install the upper thumb throttle housing and rubber housing gasket that holds the 4X4 switch by using the three original screws you retained during disassembly onto the matching upper face plate (the upper plate matches the contour of the upper housing). At this time the upper thumb throttle housing should be installed on the plate and facing its original direction.

  1. Mount the switch bracket to the brake mastercylinder by removing the original mount bolts. Using the two longer 6mm bolts provided (one in place from step two), mount the switch bracket through the original mastercylinder bracket to the mastercylinder. Torque the 6mm bolts to the factory specification once the mastercylinder has been correctly positioned (fig.2).
