HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 17, 2013) – Cowboy Stadium was host to round seven of the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.  The race marked the first of the series on the eastern half of the country and the first East Coast round for the 250SX Class championship.  54,036 Texas fans were on hand and SPEED broadcast all of the action live.

Josh Grant, who was injured at Anaheim two weeks earlier suffering a broken ankle and a shoulder contusion came to Dallas sore but determined to race, as he did last weekend in San Diego.  A few laps into the second practice Josh knew he needed more time to heal and wisely retired for the day.  He will continue to rehab his injuries next week and attempt to race in Atlanta.

Justin Brayton transferred without incident to the main event from his heat race.  Starting the main in sixth position, he quickly advanced into the top-five.  Brayton remained steady throughout the 20 laps finishing fifth, his second top five in as many weeks.

The next stop on the tour is Atlanta, Ga.  SPEED will air the entire race from the Georgia Dome live starting at 7:30 p.m. (EST).  Supercross Live will begin streaming from Atlanta at 2:00 p.m. (EST) on supercrossonline.com.
