The were a number of firsts in the opening American Superbike race at Daytona Speedway today. The National Guard Suzuki team, with rider Jake Zemke, claimed their first win of the year, their first win in Superbike for the team, and Jake's first win in his first ride for the team. For Motion Pro, this is the first Superbike win for a team sponsored by Motion Pro, and the first victory for the innovative Motion Pro Revolver throttle, which is taking the road racing world by storm. Not to be out done Jake returned to win the second leg of the double to leave Daytona with a strong points lead. In addition to the win, Motion Pro supported teams filled the first row of the grid, and filled the top five spots in the results as well. All in all, this was a great way to start the 2010 racing season, one that many people are saying is going to be one of the most exciting and competitive in recent memory.
Jake Zemke's Crew Chief Sean Storment was wearing a grin as big as his rider's legendary smile, and said, "I guess that Motion Pro was the last piece of the puzzle that we needed to put together a winning package! Seriously, Motion Pro is a huge addition to the team, with products that make a big difference in the pits, and our riders have an advantage in control with the excellent feel and adjustability of the Revolver throttle."
In addition to the National Guard team, Motion Pro also sponsors Yoshimura Suzuki, Jordan Suzuki, Celtic Racing, Pegram Ducati Racing, Melissa Paris, CNR Motorsports/DNA Energy and Wikle Racing in the AMA Pro Racing Series.
