The rear wheel alignment tool, part #08-0368, is designed for use on most softail applications, the usage of this item can sometimes be affected by exhaust systems, the tool is used to check rear wheel alignment by referencing the center machining marks of the swing arm pivot bolt and the rear axle, by holding the tool so the point on the end of the tool with multiple bends is at the center machining mark of the swing arm pivot bolt and then position the set screw pointer to the center machining marks on the rear axle and comparing this on both sides of the bike and adjusting alignment if needed, remember to recheck your belt tension if any adjustment is needed. if your machine has access to these points on both sides of the bike the use of this tool shouldn’t be a problem, sometimes the exhaust systems can be in the way, I’ve attach a copy of the instructions for your review.
