Brand new Sync Tool not working (fluid draw out)

Trying to use the sync tool for the very first time on my 07 Suzuki DL1000 and the tool wants to immediately draw the fluid out even while trying to calibrate. I have the restricters in, the extension tube connected to cylinder 1 (front), and nothing I do seems to make a difference. There is also a HUGE amount of air bubbles in the tubes that I cannot get rid of no matter what I do (including following the "shake" instructions). What to do? I ride the bike every single day without trouble (26,000 miles in 2.5 years), but a TBS is necessary on a regular basis for this motorcycle.

The best solutions

Hello Robert,
It sounds like a lot of the Syncpro fluid was lost from the tool. There could be several reasons for this. The tool could not have been properly filled in the first place, fluid could have been lost because all of the steps were not followed properly during calibration, your bike may make more vacuum than the limit of the tool, or the fluid could have suffered some fluid evaporation due to incorrect storage before you purchased the tool. A properly filled tool will have the reservoirs at the bottom nearly full, with only a small (approximately 1/4") air space between the top of the fluid and the bottom of the calibration screw. If the air space is larger, the vacuum limit of the tool is reduced, and it is easier to lose fluid, reducing the limit further, etc etc., until the chambers are virtually empty. If this is the case with your Syncpro, please contact us at 650-594-9600 to speak with someone who can assist you to return your tool to proper condition.
