Custom Throttle Problem
I recently installed the custom throttle you designed for my Can AM DS70. I took the quad out for the first time and I am having some problems. The quad loses power and bogs down on acceleration and backfires really bad. No smoke or anything out of the exhaust. It gets worse the warmer the quad get. This quad is a 2010, no other mods. Didn't have this issue before the new throttle. Any ideas would be appreciated. I can't take it to the dealer for warranty as I have modded the throttle.

I apologize for your frustrations. The symptoms that you are describing below would not be a throttle and cable assembly problem, this sounds like some kind of carburetion issue. There are many of variables that could be causing something like this. Was this a oil injected machine that you have removed the oil injection? There are many possible reasons of why this could be happening and unfortunately with out me physically being at your machine to inspect it there is not much I can do. I would suggest you bring it to a professional mechanic for further review.
