Grease in Revolver throttle housing
My bike came with the throttle revolver kit installed on it. I switched from the 40mm spool to the 45mm one. One thing is my throttle doesn't return as fast as it used to. I'm assuming its because the new one has no grease on it like the old one that came out did. Is there a specific kind I should use on the inside of the housing other than regular automotive stuff?

Hello Preston,
The likely cause of the slow return is that the cables are adjusted too tight. There is sometimes a minor adjustment needed when changing from one reel to another. That is why there are inline adjusters near the throttle itself. I would recommend that you loosen the return cable all the way, and then check the return of the throttle. A too tight return cable will cause the throttle to slow when closing.
Grease on the reel, especially where the barrels fit, is a good idea as well, but the adjustment is probably the culprit here. Just regular wheel bearing grease is the type you should be using, nothing terribly special.
