I ordered all new SS cables from you guys a few years ago, and the two throttle cables, the choke cable, the brake line, all still look great, however the clutch cable has started to rust??? I didn't think that SS would do that?

SS cable rusting????

The best solutions

Hello Robert,
The most likely cause for your problem is rust or certain lubricants coming from the inner of the cable and penetrating the braid from the inside, getting trapped between the braid and the clear coating. If you have not been lubricating your cables regularly with a proper cable lube, it could be rust you are seeing caused by corrosion inside the cable. If you are using a moly type lube, the moly can also penetrate through the braid, and cause darkening.

This problem has been solved.

I would not say "solved" I feel that Motion Pro is not standing behind their product. I bought four different ss cables from you guys at the same time, lube them each year with your lube, and one cable turns brown out of the four, and its my fault???? I will look to another company for my next set of cables, one that stands behind the products!!!!
