Self Made Brake Cable using Clutch Cable

I need to make a brake cable for a trike I'm building. I'm using clutch cable for the cable, but am having difficulty with the end of the cable. I think you make a kit that allows one to make their own cables, but I cannot find it. I've welded some nuts on one end of a stock Harley clutch cable, and it works, but that does not look good or seem right. I think the usual clutch cable (Harley) ends are either pressed on or maybe soldered, and need a quick, safe, effective way to build the brake cable for this triek. Do you have a kit and is it available through Drag? Or, do you sell it?

This question has been answered.

Hello Bob-

We do offer some components for making your own cables, such as inner wire, housing, and our cable fittings kit, shown here: http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/01-0055/ However, these fittings need to be soldered on using a solder pot and flux, which would need to be purchased elsewhere. You can try Flanders Company for these items: http://bitly.com/fi3Fog

Welding or using a soldering gun to connect fittings is not recommended. We offer a custom cable making service that many people use for trike cables, so we have a lot of experience building them. If you continue to have troubles locating the items you need to build your own you may want to consider calling us to order a custom cable: 650-594-9600

Good luck~
