Throttle cable lock

I bought the Motion Pro Turbo Throttle kit for my 2007 Suzuki LTZ 400 Quad. After we completed the installation, we realized that the cable housing does not lock into the adjuster end of the twist assy, which would allow the cable to easily be pulled to a wot position. Is there supposed to be some kind of locking piece, or a retainer?Thank you for your response.

This question has been answered.

Hello Robert-

The turbo throttle does not use any type retainer for holding the cable in place. However, many Turbo/Gunner Gasser throttle owners will use safety wire to hold the cable in place. You can copy and paste this link into your browser to find a couple examples of a typical safety wire setup:

If you are not familiar with how to safety wire, please seek the assistance of a qualified motorcycle technician with knowledge on how to properly safety wire ATVs and motorcycles.

Thank you for your inquiry~
