Valve shim tool
I have a 1983 Yamaha xj550 seca. Your tool #08-0020 that replaces Yamaha #YM-01245 looks like it but the Yamaha part number does not match the number in my manual. Do you have one for my bike?
This question has been answered.
Hello Bill-
What is the part number in your service manual?
Yamaha tool part numbers 90890-01245-00 and YM-01245 are the same as our part number 08-0020.

Thank you for the reply. The number in my manual is the same as you indicated but does not have the -00 at the end. It lists 90890-01245. Do you think your 08-0020 is the correct one? If yes do you know a dealer close to zip code 98117 that stocks this item. Thank you, Bill Corfman

Hello again-
The double zeros at the end don't matter so yes, the 08-0020 would be the correct tool. Unfortunately we do not have access to dealer inventories so I can't help you with locating a dealer that has the item in stock. However, you can use our Dealer Finder located in the tab section above. Just type in your zip code and it will find local Motion Pro dealers in your area. I'd suggest calling them ahead of time to ask if they have the item in stock. If not, you can purchase it here on our website and the order will be fulfilled by the closest dealer to you that has one available.
Feel free to ask if you have further questions-
