We have a customer with a 2003 VTX1300 Honda and wants to put 16
Customer wants to put a set of 16" ape bars on a 2003 VTX1300 Honda. Will +6" cables do for this application or do we need longer custom cables. If we need +8, how much for Push, Pull and Clutch in custom lenght.

Hello Jim-
The only way to tell the proper plus length for cables when you install new bars and/or risers is to take some measurements. You will need to install the bars and/or risers and adjust them to a comfortable riding position for your customer. Leaving the original cables connected at the bottom, turn the handlebars to full lock in the opposite direction of the cable you are measuring (i.e. turn bars to right if measuring clutch cable) Then measure from the top end of the cable to where it needs to connect on the handlebar. That measurement is your plus length. If we have cables in that size off the shelf you're all set, but if not we can usually custom build them.
Feel free to ask if you have further questions regarding plus length cables.
