Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna Factory Racing's desert expert, Jacob Argubright, put forth an impressive comeback performance today at round six of the AMA National Hare & Hound series; claiming 3rd overall.
Injuring his wrist last October at the NHHA season finale, Argubright spent the last 7-months healing and training to get back on his FC 450. "I've never been off the bike that long. But my injury (scaphoid fracture) couldn't be rushed, so I'm just really grateful to ride my dirt bike today," Argubright explained.
Argubright's electric start quickly lit and carried him to third overall at the end of the bomb run. From there he moved into second position and chased the leader's heavy dust for all three loops before getting lost one mile from the finish. Losing one position with little time to spare, Argubright raced to the checkered flag for third overall. After the race, he expressed, "I'm thankful to be healthy, and that my speed has hardly rusted. This is just the start, and I can't thank my sponsors enough who have stuck with me."
