We recommend careful inspection of the pivot bolt when replacing a lever and that you replace the pivot bolt and lock nut if there are any signs of wear or if the prior lever suffered any impact damage. We also recommend that you replace the lock nut anytime the lever is removed. Pivot bolt and lock nut must be installed and tightened properly as recommended by the manufacturer of your motorcycle. Please remember to lubricate the pivot bolt per the factory service manual recommendations.
