pretty necessary!
I originally intended to use a free 3d printed tool (at 95% infill, PLA+) to rebuild my CB500X's fork. I wasted DAYS trying to do that. Tried 3 different files, and a few different techniques, some riskier than others.
Then I bought this tool. Once it came in, the job was done that night.
The mass is seriously needed, at least on my bike. The 3d printed ones are just sooo light that it isn't enough to properly drive the upper metal bushing in. It's pretty user friendly, and this is the kind of job you're already saving a bundle on by DIYing. The pin-style metal ones seem to work as well, but I like the beveling and convenience of assembly of this one better. Honestly looking forward to having this tool in the arsenal.
