MPORTANT – FULLY READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING. THIS KIT IS INTENDED FOR INSTALLATION BY A TRAINED TECHNICIAN WHO IS FULLY FAMILIAR WITH THE ATV IN A PROPERLY EQUIPPED SHOP.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR USE WITH THE MOTION PRO TWIST THROTTLE KITS AND REVERSE LEVER FOR THE KAWASAKI KFX-450R. REFER TO THE SEPARATE THROTTLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALLING THE TWIST THROTTLE AND CABLE. THESE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH EITHER A FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL OR COMPERABLE CLYMER SERVICE MANUAL.

1. Remove reverse cable and throttle cable from original reverse lever and thumb throttle (FIG.1). Remove thumb throttle from handlebar
2. Remove front brake master cylinder clamp and replace with billet reverse lever. Lever should be below handlebar (FIG. 2 FIG. 2A). Close the reverse cable adjuster all the way before installing reverse cable onto new reverse lever. Install reverse cable onto reverse lever and then install lever onto new reverse lever clamp (Apply Loctite #242 on threads of lever pivot screw before installing screw). Cable housing retainer clamp is no longer used. Position clamp on cable housing where it will not interfere with control operation.
3. Remove right handlebar grip. Completely remove all glue and rubber from handlebar.
4. Remove original throttle cable as per the manufacturer‘s procedure and install Motion Pro twist throttle cable onto throttle body (FIG.3). Route Motion Pro throttle cable the same as original throttle cable to handlebar. With Motion Pro twist throttle kits, the throttle cable will now route on the outboard side of the handlebar. Make sure all cables are adjusted properly and the ATV is assembled correctly prior to starting.

WARNING! IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF THIS MOTION PRO PRODUCT MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL CAUSING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND/OR BODILY INJURY OR DEATH.
